Cairngorm Country Cottage is set in a stunning location just outside the pretty Highland village of Newtonmore, and just a stone's throw from the River Spey. You will love the fantastic countryside views across the beautiful Spey Valley and to the picturesque Monadhliath Mountains beyond.
It is more than just an outstanding self catering holiday cottage; it's a luxurious base from which you can enjoy the extensive local activities and visitor attractions on offer in the area. You will also have a wide choice of great eating places where you can sample the fabulous local produce. A range of interesting and more unusual shops along with colourful galleries, potteries and craft centres should keep even the largest, and most diverse group content.

Cairngorm Country Cottage is an outstanding property and the perfect location to stay, play and relax, whether you are arranging a reunion, an activity break, business workshop, golf trip, quiet week away, or a family gathering.
Both floors of the house have underfloor heating throughout with constant hot water by ground source heating and solar panels. The two largest reception rooms have log burning stoves, and so you can relax and enjoy a crackling real log fire.

On the ground floor there is a boot room at the front entrance of the house and a very large hallway with a good sized coat cupboard. Off the hall, there is a very spacious and airy sitting room with a stone fireplace log burning stove and lots of comfy seating. Several reclining chairs and two reclining sofas with plenty of footstools are provided for your comfort. A large flat screen satellite TV, DVD player and plenty of reading material can also be found in this room.
The larger, more formal lounge also has a log burning stove set into a feature wall of hand-made brick. From this room with its triple aspect ceiling to floor windows you will get spectacular views across the Spey Valley and the beautiful mountains to the west. There is a fully programmable massage chair to help ease away the stresses of everyday life and to ensure your complete relaxation.
There is also a good sized separate dining room accessed from the hall or lounge, which seats 12 comfortably. With no shortage of reception rooms there is plenty of space for everyone.
The luxurious bespoke kitchen with additional dining area, also seating 12 people is both spacious and practical making food preparation a delight. A large hob and double oven, a microwave, an American fridge freezer, and an additional under counter fridge along with a dishwasher gives more than ample facilities for a group of twelve. The kitchen is very well equipped and thought out, and you can expect to find more than ample pots, pans serving dishes crockery and cutlery for a group of 12, along with a very good selection of kitchen knives, a bread-maker, an ice cream maker, chocolate fondue set, waffle maker, ice machine, coffee machine, wine cooler, hand blenders, mixers and many other items you would be struggling to find in the majority of self-catering properties.
Travertine stone flooring, white gloss kitchen units, granite work tops and mood lighting give the kitchen air of luxury. There is a utility room with a washing machine and dryer.
The kitchen, lounge and dining room have French windows which open on to a large sheltered patio area at the rear of the cottage.
Also on the ground floor there is a good sized triple bedroom (bedroom 5) with three single beds and a shower room with WC.
On the first floor there is a very large master bedroom with a king size bed, a small adjoining room with a single bed and a spacious en suite bathroom with large corner bath, bidet, and separate shower unit. Bedroom 2, also a very spacious room has a king size bed, a sitting area, and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. Bedroom 3 has a king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and bedroom 4 has two single beds and an en suite shower room with a generous sized shower compartment.
Two cots, two highchairs and a baby bath are available for use by our younger guests along with a limited amount of toys and books.
Reading material and some CDs are available and there are reference books on local walks, wildlife etc.
Outside the house, there is a private gravel driveway, a turning point and ample parking for several cars. The beautiful grounds of around two acres are mostly laid to lawn but have been professionally landscaped with ponds, a sunken garden and large patio area. There is also a paddock which is for the sole use of our guests and can be accessed through the garden. A good sized gas BBQ and garden furniture are available for use by our guests.
